Incumbent Democrat Joe Ciresi easily won reelection to a fourth term Tuesday night representing the 146th District in the state House of Representatives.

According to unofficial results posted on the Montgomery County website, Ciresi beat Republican challenger Mike McCloskey by nearly 6,500 votes, gathering a total of 20,333 votes to McCloskey's 13,914.

"I'm thrilled to be returning representative for the 146th and I want to thank the voters who had faith in me. I look forward to working with the county and local municipalities to do what we need to get done," Ciresi said when contacted Wednesday morning for comment.

"I also want to thank my opponent for doing his civic duty and stepping up to run. That's what Democracy is about and I look forward to continue working with him as a Limerick Supervisor to move the township forward," he added.

The 146th House District includes the townships of Limerick, West Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove and the boroughs of Pottstown and Royersford.
