City of Alcoa: Work along Tesla Boulevard to cause planned power outage

ALCOA, Tenn. (WATE) — Some residents in Alcoa may notice their power is out Thursday night or Friday morning. Here's what the City has shared for residents to know about the planned outage.

Between Thursday night, September 19, and early Friday morning, September 20, crews with the Alcoa Electric Department will be working to upgrade the underground electrical infrastructure along part of Tesla Boulevard.

During that time, the city said there will be a planned power outage that is required for safety.

Tesla Boulevard stretches between Alcoa Highway, just south of the Hunt Road overpass, down to Marconi Boulevard. The West Springbrook neighborhood is just East of Tesla Boulevard.

According to the City, all affected customers have been notified about the outage.
