Colorado Springs weather: Highs climb to the 50s Tuesday
Following nearly a week of wintry conditions, Colorado Springs is warming up, with highs climbing into the 50s on Tuesday.
"After several days of wintry conditions and some pretty cold temperatures, highs today will finally warm back to the 50s for the Pikes Peak region," said meteorologist Alan Rose with Gazette news partner KOAA.
"Along with the warmer temperatures, we're expecting light breezes and plenty of sunshine on Tuesday from Monument Hill to Manitou Springs to Fort Carson."Expect sunny skies Tuesday and a high of 55 degrees.
Looking ahead to Tuesday night, mostly clear conditions are in the forecast accompanied by a low of 23 degrees.
Temps are expected to linger in the 50s through Wednesday before a cold front moves through the area later in the week.

"Our first in a series of cold fronts will drop into the state on Thursday, with some changes expected here locally late this week. Highs will cool by around 10-15 degrees as snow becomes widespread across the mountains," Rose said.
