St. Peter's Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, hosts its fall bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Highlights include vendors and raffles. A light lunch and baked goods will be offered for purchase.

Nov. 20

The Emmaus Historical Society's monthly program will be held 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The program is titled: "A Virtual Walk through God's Acre, the Oldest Cemetery in Emmaus." Come along for a virtual tour of God's Acre. They will share the early history of the community from its founding and stories of the lives of some of the first settlers who are buried there. The program is free to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program.

Nov. 21

The East Penn School District welcomes senior citizen gold card holders in the district as well as crossing guards and bus drivers to its free Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Luncheon at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., Emmaus; Lower Macungie Middle School, 6299 Lower Macungie Road, Macungie or Eyer Middle School, 5616 Buckeye Road, Macungie. The luncheon will be served 1 p.m. at the middle schools and 1:30 p.m. at EHS.

Nov. 23

The 14th annual craft/vendor fair will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road. More than 100 crafters and vendors are expected to participate. Food is available 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nov. 26

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The program is "Lotteries in Early American History: Funding Public Projects." During the colonial period and the years of the early republic, lotteries were used for very different purposes. Local and provincial/state governments as well as private citizens and companies used lotteries to fund a wide range of construction projects. Ed Johnson, president of the Goshenhoppen Historians will present the illustrated talk. The program is free and all are welcome.

Nov. 27

St. Peter's Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, will host a Thanksgiving Eve service 7 p.m. All are welcome.

Nov. 28

The 96th annual Sheeprock Trek and Thanksgiving Sunrise Service will leave promptly 5:45 a.m. from the Macungie Volunteer Fire Department, 31 S. Walnut St., Macungie. Boy Scout Troop 71 will light the way up Macungie Mountain where there will be a brief Thanksgiving sunrise service. Hot chocolate and doughnuts will be served at the end of the hike. The event is coordinated by the Macungie Historical Society. Hikers should be prepared with flashlights, gloves and hiking boots. In the event of inclement weather, the sunrise service will be held at the Macungie Volunteer Fire Department starting 5:45 a.m. For more information, call the Macungie Historical Society at 610-965-0372.
