—Aqua Pennsylvania utility improvements will begin Monday and last for six months, PennDOT said.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Aqua Pennsylvania will perform water main construction on Route 513.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, Nov. 18, through Thursday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Brown Avenue will be closed and detoured weekdays between Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) and Knights Road in Bensalem Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Knights Road, Route 132 (Street Road), and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road).
  • Local access will be maintained up to the work zones. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

    All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com . 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1.
