WILKES-BARRE – Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 31-year-old city man who died shortly after a domestic dispute at his home Saturday.

Officers and emergency personnel were called out to 22 Gore St. for a report of a man not breathing at 6:04 p.m., according to Wilkes-Barre police Sgt. Joseph Novak.
One of the residents at the Gore Street address had called 911.
The man, whom police did not identify, had a pulse but was not breathing, Novak said.
He was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, where he later died.
A domestic disturbance, which occurred about a half hour prior to the emergency call, is why police are investigating the man’s death, Novak said. The district attorney’s office and county coroner’s are assisting.
Luzerne County property records show the residence is owned by Andrew and Michelle Polifko Jr.
Three adults were living at the Gore Street address, including a mother, father and son, Novak said.
An autopsy has not yet been scheduled, according to Coroner John P. Corcoran. He said it’s too early in the investigation to release any details or to say whether foul play is suspected.
A state police trooper was seen carrying a large piece of glass with fingerprints into city police headquarters.
No arrests have been made. Nobody has been charged.
