It was not "hot takeaway food" to which George Osborne wanted to apply VAT in his 2012 budget; rather, he sought to have hot baked goods included among taxed takeaway items ( Greggs festive ad star Nigella praises its pastry , 4 November, p3).

An ( British Library reveals 'richness' of women's lives in middle ages , 25 October, p3) referred to the gender pay gap in 1480s Essex, then mentioned the workers hired to "bring in the harvest in 1843". It should have said 1483. This error was in print only.
