The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Derek W. Black, 55, of Houston, was arrested by the Saltillo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug, grand larceny.

Chester Buchanan, 44, of Fulton, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct.

Maegan Mize, 32, of Saltillo, was arrested by the Saltillo Police Department, felony fleeing, reckless driving, careless driving, disorderly conduct.

Danielle B. Walters, 26, of Booneville, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, burglary of an auto, burglary of a dwelling, loitering.

The following reports were filed Tuesday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

A County Road 506, Shannon, man said he mailed a $20 check to Waste Management. His bank later called saying he did not have enough money in the account to cover the $3,000 check. The bank said the check had been altered by someone. He needed to file a police report before the bank would open an investigation.

Lee County Solid Waste said an unknown white male pulled the tin off the County Road 1282, Tupelo, shop Sunday morning around 5:30. The suspect then walked into the break room and unplugged the security system. The suspect stole a cutting torch, two metal rods and assorted tools. He crawled under a county truck and attempted to steal the gasoline. There is also video footage of an unknown male and female at the transfer station. Officials did not know where the suspects entered the property.

A Booneville woman said someone broke into her County Road 100, Nettleton, shop, possibly by pulling back the metal siding in the back. She said the shop is being remodeled so she can live there. The thief stole a 50-foot extension cord, a bag of miscellaneous furniture hardware, two LED shop lights, and five electric outlets with covers.

A County Road 1970, Guntown, woman heard a "loud boom" on her garage door around 10 p.m. She did not know who or what could have caused the noise.
