CT Weather: Cold Blast May Produce Snowflakes Tuesday, Wednesday
CONNECTICUT — Try and get outside and enjoy the warmer weather Monday as it won't last long.
Temperatures are forecast to hit 50 degrees on Monday, but then the temperatures will be free-falling this evening. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 20s tonight and day-time high temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will struggle to reach the mid 30s. We may even see some snowflakes too, local meteorologists said.
Connecticut will see its coldest weather of the season thus far on Tuesday and Wednesday, but then we'll rebound with warmer weather on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The forecast looks pretty dry this week, though there is a chance for rain showers on Friday.
"The rain has moved out and the temps are fairly comfortable," said WFSB 3 TV Meteorologist Scot Haney . "Temperatures will warm up nicely during the afternoon hours, and will range from the lower 40s NW to the lower 50s SE. While there will be some scattered clouds, and even an isolated shower today, it’s going to be a pretty good afternoon. Just keep in mind, it is going to be a bit breezy."
"Brace yourself for another cold blast that settles in tonight. Even a few flurries are possible! Look for blustery conditions, feels like temperatures in the 10s and 20s, and scattered clouds that could squeeze out snowflakes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Actual highs will only be in the 30s, while lows will be in the 20s," Haney said. (Watch/read more at WFSB 3 TV).
