CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cuyahoga County employee was injured in a carjacking in an employee parking lot, according to county spokesperson Jennifer Ciaccia. On Oct. 24, a female county employee was physically removed from her vehicle at gunpoint, Ciaccia said in an email. Her car was parked at an employee parking lot on Euclid Avenue. Ciaccia said the woman "sustained multiple injuries." The stolen car was recovered last week, according to Ciaccia. Detectives believe the group of men involved in this carjacking are responsible for additional stolen cars and break-ins on both county property and in the City of Cleveland, according to an email for Ciaccia. This matter remains under investigation by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 216-252-CRIME or the Sheriff's Detective Bureau at 216-443-6130.
