Dallas Cowboys LB Eric Kendricks notes team in good position after win

S.Brown36 min ago
The Dallas Cowboys are in what can easily be called an interesting situation through the first four games of their season. Getting to .500 with a week and a half to take a breath was certainly a good thing, but soon enough the team will be back at work and prepping for a Sunday night game in Pittsburgh to get over the hump.

Much of the discussion about the Cowboys to this point has been about the defense and their performance in several ways. One of the bright spots to this point has been the play of new linebacker Eric Kendricks who had a historical performance during the season opener .

Kendricks may be new to Dallas, but he is not new to the giving spirit. He has an important partnership going on these days with Texans Can Academy Pleasant Grove in Dallas and their Cars For Kids campaign. He was kind enough to join us for an interview on Monday afternoon to discuss that among other things relating to the team's performance so far this season. You can watch our conversation below.

On Monday, September 30th, Eric Kendricks made a special guest appearance at Texans Can Academy Pleasant Grove in Dallas to tour the campus, meet with students, and speak about the importance of education, perseverance, and giving back to the community. It was during this time that he was able to speak with us.

Kendricks noted how it feels like the Thursday game (and the "mini bye" that follows) came at a proper time for Dallas what with how they were able to get their feet under them a little bit in the time off. He expressed confidence in where the team can go from here and noted how it would obviously be special to be a part of the Cowboys team who ultimately delivered a Super Bowl back to the organization.

Among other things Kendricks spoke about his deep love for cars which makes his partnership with Cars For Kids work really well. He mentioned that he just recently got his own garage to work on different cars, something he does in the offseason.

Our thanks to Eric for the time.
