Davide Sanclimenti has said he 'spiralled into a dark' following his split from Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu before allegedly being seen handing out 'illegal hippy crack' at a private afterparty.

The couple both, 29, split for a second and final time in February after winning the ITV2 show in 2022, with Ekin-Su claiming at the time he'd had been unfaithful.

Speaking to The Sun Davide denied some of his former flames allegations and said it was she who broke his heart, leaving him battling depression and 'partying too hard' in a bid to 'numb the pain'.

Davide was also spotted snorting a suspicious white powder in Ibiza and now says in hindsight, his time in the relationship a 'miserable existence' and he had no choice but to finally leave for his 'own sanity'.

Telling the publication: 'I'm only human and when you're heartbroken and dealing with a break-up, you go into a dark place. I regret dealing with the break-up the way I did'.

David went on to say that he found himself surrounded by 'the wrong people' at parties and realised now they could not be trusted.

Speaking about his sudden fame following Love Island he said: 'Yes, the post-show hype gave me good opportunities and I finally had everything I'd ever dreamed of — a nice car, a good job, friends, etc — but the truth is, I was living inside a miserable house and had a miserable existence.

'I genuinely was in love with Ekin, but she broke my heart and I had no choice but to leave the relationship for my own sanity'.

MailOnline have contacted Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu's reps for comment.

Davide reportedly lost his six-figure brand deals after the alleged seen 'illegal hippy crack' controversy in April.

In a video obtained by The Sun he was seen seemingly using an air canister to fill the balloons for his pals.

According to the publication, a fellow partygoer claimed the gas was nitrous oxide.

It was later claimed he lost lucrative deals with sport nutrition firm Sci-mx and fashion brand Boohoo Man.

According to publication , Sci-mx has removed Davide from its website and he no longer describes himself as an ambassador for the company on his Instagram page.

His deal with the organisation was sealed in November last year and announced at a glamorous party, and it was said to 'nudge seven figures'.

It is also claimed his rolling contract with online fashion brand Boohoo Man has ended over the scandal.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Davide, and Sci-mx and Boohoo Man for comment at the time.

The Class C drug, also known as laughing gas, was reclassified in November last year and serious users can face up to two years in prison, while dealers can face up to 14 years in jail.

Taking too much nitrous oxide can cause users to lose consciousness and suffocate from lack of oxygen.

It comes after Ekin-Su vowed to expose all in her bombshell memoir, including what really happened in her relationship with Davide before their split.

She also s poke about the real reason for her out of character behaviour in the Celebrity Big Brother house , noting that it was down to how Davide had allegedly treated her.

She insisted the devastating effect of his alleged deceit from her ex-boyfriend prior to their January split, which left her heartbroken.

Ekin-Su skipped the Big Brother final in March after her management felt she was too 'vulnerable' to return in light of her turbulent time on the ITV series and subsequent drama-filled spin-off show appearance.

The Turkish actress claimed she made a mistake by going into the house after being told Davide had cheated on her and seeing possible evidence for herself.

Cracks appeared in her relationship with Davide less than a month after they won Love Island as a couple in the summer of 2022.

Hunky Davide was seen leaving a party with two blondes in August of that year.

Ekin-Su said she was left in floods of tears after learning of the incident, insisting she did not want to believe Davide would treat her badly.

When she asked him 'how could you do this to me', she claims he simply replied: 'Excuse me?'

While filming their ITV2 show Homecomings, Ekin-Su said she saw pictures of Davide with females on his phone.

He claims she saw images of two blonde girls in his Manchester flat wearing his clothes.

Ekin-Su did not want to make anything of the situation at the time because they were being filmed.

The television personality went on to claim Davide cheated on her with a girl called Harriet Wilson, with Harriet contacting Ekin-Su to tell her.

Ekin-Su said that at another time Davide left his laptop open and she saw sexually explicit messages between him and a girl she herself had met on New Year's Eve.

She said seeing those messages 'broke something in me'.

Actress Ekin-Su said she did not want to be embarrassed amid the cheating allegations so did her best not to react publicly but also wanted to protect Davide.
