Express forecast

Tonight: Partly cloudy, light breeze. Lows: 30-38

Tomorrow: Mainly cloudy; light p.m. showers. Highs: 49-55

Forecast in detail

The good news is a warm-up is underway. The bad news is that it comes with lots of clouds, starting tomorrow and continuing into early next week. Some showers are probable both Friday afternoon and Sunday night. The rest of the time is mostly dry, so don’t think you can get out of leaf raking or outdoor decorating!

Today (Thursday): Partly to mostly sunny skies and light breezes from the south help bring back milder air. Highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s are close to the norm for November’s final day. Confidence: High

Tonight: Skies remain partly cloudy with light wind out of the southwest. Lows range through the 30s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Friday): Clouds increase quickly at dawn and a few light showers are a good bet in the afternoon. Most of the area sees no more than a tenth of an inch of rain. Light winds from the south should push most highs into the low-to-mid 50s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: The few showers lingering into the evening quickly dissipate but clouds remain. Light southwest winds help keep most lows in the low-to-mid 40s. Confidence: Medium-High

A look ahead

Most showers are well to our north and south on , but clouds should still be plentiful. Despite that, highs should reach the upper 50s to lower 60s, making for a great day to be out and about. Overnight lows are mainly in the mid-to-upper 40s with a few sprinkles or light showers possible. Confidence: Medium-High

is more of the same with lots of clouds but little in the way of showers at least until late in the day. Highs should reach the upper 50s to lower 60s as long as the showers hold off. Measurable rain overnight should still be mainly less than a tenth of an inch. Lows range through the 40s. Confidence: Medium

Brisk winds from the northwest on mark the return of cooler air. A few sprinkles may linger mainly in the morning with clearing later in the day. Highs still reach the low-to-mid 50s. Confidence: Medium
