Death of woman found in car with unhurt child was likely murder, Vancouver police say

VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - After a woman was found dead inside a car alongside a live child last week in Vancouver, police said on Thursday that the woman's death was likely a homicide.

Early in the morning of Nov. 1, police responded to the 300 block of North Blandford Drive on the report of a body inside a car. They found the woman dead and a "small child" with her inside the car who did not "appear to be physically injured," police said at the time.

On Thursday, detectives with the Vancouver Police Department said they are investigating the woman's death as a murder and said the child is safe and being cared for by family members.
