Deputies: 2 hospitalized after crash near Grand Haven
ich. (WOOD) — Two drivers were hospitalized after they collided at an intersection near Grand Haven Sunday afternoon, deputies said.
Around 12:30 p.m., a Chevrolet Tahoe was headed north on US-31 when it did not stop for a red light at Ferris Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. The Tahoe crashed into a Subaru that was headed east on Ferris.
The drivers, who are both women in their 60s, were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. The injuries are not life-threatening, deputies say. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
A lane of northbound US-31 was closed during cleanup after the crash. The driver who did not stop for the red light was cited, according to deputies.
