Deviled Egg Co. in west Omaha to close later this year
Owner Raechel Van Buskirk recently announced that the Omaha location of the Deviled Egg Co. will cease business on Dec. 1.
Up to that time, she said, it will be carryout only.
"We have decided not to renew our lease and continue expansion in Texas for now," she said on Facebook.
The company plans to launch new stores there and Omaha managers Amber Bartly and Jess Wellman will relocate and take on new roles as operating partners. So far, the company has locations in Denison and McKinney, Texas, in addition to the Omaha shop.
Van Buskirk launched the company in 2017 as a delivery service. She also sold her products at farmer's markets. She opened the Omaha brick-and-mortar store at 18111 Q St. Suite 102 in 2021.
Her company sells deviled eggs in a variety of flavors, including sriracha bacon, cheeseburger and walking taco, among many others.
"This decision was not made lightly," she said on Facebook. "Your patronage has been instrumental in our journey. Thank you for all the support the last three years."
