In her first sighting since ex Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken into custody by authorities, Cassie Ventura was all smiles while dining in New York City.

According to new photos obtained by Page Six , Ventura, 38, was photographed wearing an all-black outfit while enjoying a casual dinner outing with friends in the Big Apple on Wednesday, September 18. The "Me & U" singer was spotted with producer Sarah Snedeke, who is working on a documentary about Diddy in the wake of his massive sex scandal.

Ventura and Diddy, 54, were involved in a tumultuous on-and-off relationship from 2007 to 2018, with the songstress suing the Bad Boy executive in November 2023, accusing Diddy of rape and sexual and physical assault. Though the case was settled between both parties within 24 hours, six months later, graphic video footage was released of Diddy physically assaulting Ventura in a hotel in 2016.

Diddy posted an apology video directed toward Cassie on Instagram after the hotel footage was released.

"My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,"Diddy said in an Instagram clip in May 2024. "I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now."

Ventura, for her part, issued her own statement on social media shortly after, thanking her followers and fans — and focusing on the issue at hand.

"The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning," she shared. "Domestic Violence is THE issue."

Six months after Diddy's Miami and Los Angeles homes were raided by the FBI he was arrested by federal agents in New York City on Monday, September 16, and was indicted on three charges: sex trafficking by force, racketeering conspiracy, and fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is looking to clear his name. The Grammy Award winner is currently being held without bail until his trial in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
