A diner in York County known for American and Greek specialties is closing.

Customers have until today, Nov. 6, to visit John's Diner at 146 Sheraton Drive off Interstate 83 in Fairview Township. According to a Facebook message, the restaurant's lease ends in late December and the landlord found a new tenant.

"After 15 years proudly serving the central Pennsylvania community we will be sadly closing our doors on November 6th," they shared on the message. "Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support for helping make our dream a reality these past 15 years. We will miss everyone!"

The restaurant is owned by the Politsopoulos family who also operate Yianni's Gyros, a Greek restaurant in Lower Paxton Township and the Hershey Fresh Market in Derry Township.

John's Diner serves breakfast, including country fried steak, gyro breakfast, and cream chipped beef. Lunch and dinner feature sandwiches, burgers and entrees including a popular 1-pound chargrilled T-bone steak served with unlimited soup and salad bar.

"We would like to thank all of our amazing customers and staff who over all these years have all become family," reads their message.

Customers have been sharing plenty of well wishes on Facebook, including one by Chris E. Chase: "I loved your menu and wait staff. Thank you for such amazing food. You brought food happiness to my life."
