Dodgers star sparks dating rumors with Japanese model after World Series win

Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto is in the middle of dating rumors after his World Series victory after being spotted with Japanese model Niki Niwa in California .

Walking the famous Rodeo Drive, Niwa and Yamamoto were spotted shopping together and standing close by.

When approached by a Los Angeles based photographer, both Yamamoto and Niwa confirmed their identities.

Yamamoto came to America last year after signing a 12-year, $325million contract with the Dodgers.

Niwa has over 770,000 Instagram followers and starred the television series 'Terrace House: Aloha State'.

Yamamoto had an impressive debut season with the Dodgers, with a 7-2 record and 105 strikeouts.

Niwa has been in a few other television projects and has been modeling for several years.

The hopeful couple are also similar ages with Niwa, 28, and the World Series champion at 26 only two years apart.

Yamamoto had kept a low profile since moving to the United States, without any previous dating rumors. This appearance changes that with a model by his side.

The World Series champion did not do much to hide that he was hanging out with Niwa either.

Safe to say with Niwa by his side, it has been a solid last few weeks for Yamamoto.
