COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — A Downtown Columbus highway ramp is closed Sunday morning after fuel leaked from a crashed semi-truck.

A police dispatcher said the semi jackknifed into a wall at 8:13 a.m. while driving east on Interstate 70 towards the Interstate 71 northbound ramp. The semi was carrying a 100 gallon tank of diesel fuel that began leaking after the crash.

Columbus police, fire, and hazmat teams responded and evaluated the driver at the scene who did not suffer any significant injuries. Authorities closed the ramp as they continue to clean up the spill. There is no estimated time that the ramp will re-open, per a police dispatcher.
