Early in-person voting in Nebraska County election offices to begin

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Early in-person voting at county offices has begun, per the Nebraska State Department.

Voters can now go in-person to county election offices to cast their vote in the upcoming November Election.

"County election offices are open and prepared to welcome voters to their offices," Secretary of State Bob Evnen said. "Nebraska voters should be ready to present their acceptable photo ID when they vote."

Some notable county election offices are:

  • Due to Nebraska's new Voter ID law , voters must provide a valid photo ID before voting.

    The Department's release listed some examples of valid ID.

  • Nebraska driver's license
  • Nebraska state ID
  • U.S. passport
  • Military ID
  • Tribal ID
  • Hospital, intermediate care facility, assisted-living facility or nursing home record
  • Nebraska political subdivision ID (state, county, city, school, etc.)
  • Nebraska college or university ID (public or private)
  • If you don't have a valid photo ID, one can be procured from the Nebraska DMV for free. If you need a copy of a birth certificate to receive an ID, you can contact the Department of Health and Human Services .
