Early Voting Begins In Allegheny County
PITTSBURGH, PA — With more than 175,000 mail-in ballots for the Nov. 5 election now on their way to voters, over-the-counter voting began Monday in Allegheny County in the lobby of the County Office Building, Downtown.
Over the counter voting allows people to go to a satellite office to register to vote, request a mail-in ballot, complete and return it all in one place. It will be offered this year until October 29, the deadline for submission of mail-in ballot requests.
Satellite offices at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.October 15-17. Other locations listed below will be open from 9 a.m.=5 p.m. on Oct. 19-20 and Oct. 26-27:
Community College of Allegheny County - Homewood.
North Park Ice Rink.
South Park Ice Rink.
County Office Building lobby.
According to the Allegheny County Elections Division, sample ballots now are available online. To view a sample ballot, you will need your municipality, ward, and district information. That information can be found on your voter registration card or the PA Voter Services tool .
Voters who receive a mail-in ballot can return it completed to a ballot return site . They will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. from Oct. 29-Nov. 4, except for Nov. 2-3, when the hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Each voter may only turn in their own ballot unless they have completed authorization forms to turn in a ballot on behalf of someone who physically is unable to return their completed ballots.

Oct. 29-Nov. 1 and Nov. 4: Allegheny County Emergency Services Building, Coraopolis; Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge; Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Squirrel Hill branch; North Park Ice Rink; South Park Ice Rink; Dormont Pool; Community College of Allegheny County - Homewood; Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Duquesne; Avalon Public Library.
Voters will also be able to return mail-in ballots in person at the County Office building at the Ross Street entrance to the on weekdays from Oct. 29-Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and on Election Day from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Voters using the Ross Street ballot return site may park briefly in the curb lane on Ross Street while returning their ballot.
