Early voting underway in some states

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – The presidential election is just 20 days away. Both candidates are making their pitches to key voting groups across the country.

With early voting starting this week in some states. The candidates are beginning to urge voters to cast their ballots or make a plan to vote on Election Day.

"We have to get out and vote. We have to win, win win," said Trump.

Former president Donald Trump in Atlanta Tuesday told supporters he'll help American workers if elected.

"We're going to bring so many companies back into our country," said Trump.

Trump touted his plan to do that with higher tariffs on foreign goods during an interview with Bloomberg.

"To me, the most beautiful word in the dictionary is tariff," said Trump.

Meanwhile Vice President Kamala Harris while in Detroit stopped at a Black-owned art gallery as she tries to energize Black male voters.

She told radio host Charlamagne Tha God, "I am running to be President for everybody, but I am clear-eyed about the history and the disparities that exist for specific communities and I'm not going to shy away from that."

Harris's running mate, Governor Tim Walz, is reaching out to rural voters at a farm in Pennsylvania.

"When we win this election, we will have rural America's back just like they've had our back," said Walz.

Republican VP hopeful Senator JD Vance joined a Moms for America town hall in Philadelphia, urging moms to get out and vote.

"We have to elect Donald Trump. And there's a lot that we can do to make that happen, just in 20 days," said Vance.

Tuesday was the first day of early voting in Georgia. According to the Georgia Secretary of State's office, it was a record first day with more than 328,000 votes cast so far.

Iowa, Kansas, Rhode Island and Tennessee start early voting on Wednesday.
