EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A local church foundation is joining the cause to help with hurricane relief efforts. Spirit Lutheran Foundation in Eau Claire has created a Hurricane Relief Fund to assist people affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The foundation says it is collecting donations not just from church members, but anyone who has an interest in helping. Foundation President, Dan Market, says, "The funds that we collect, we're going to match that dollar for dollar. So, anybody that's out there that wants to make an impact, they just know that their dollars are going to be matched. And then, when we're going to be doing is sending those dollars to Lutheran disaster response, which is part of the LCA and 100% of what they receive goes to relief."

The Spirit Lutheran Foundation says it will be collecting donations until mid-November.
