Black Friday is infamous for sharp-elbowed, rabid shoppers, stopping at nothing to get the best deals - something first-time Black Friday shopper Sarah Padilla was acutely aware of.

I don't want to get trampled. So I hope everyone has the manners to keep their personal space," Padilla said.

However, for Sofia Von Borstel who's been Black Friday shopping for around a decade now, this year was particularly quiet.

This has been the first year that it's not crowded at all...Before the pandemic it was crazy. Like, people would camp around here, but I guess not anymore," said Von Borstel.

According to Insider Intelligence, an expected 130.7 million people will be shopping in store and online throughout the country this day of the year.
