Engines rev at Wexford school as pupils get surprise visit from Motor Club

J.Martin52 min ago
Children from Scoil Mhuire, Coolcotts got up close and personal with some rally cars and their drivers as the team from Wexford Motor Club paid a visit to the school prior to the Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally. The sound of engines revving was heard across the school as Garry Bradley and his team showed the children some of their high-powered vehicles, all while keeping them a safe distance from the drivers' seat of course.

Focusing on road safety, the Motor Club gave an interactive presentation all about rally driving, rally cars, safety and protective clothing. With some of the children and teachers having got to try on driving gear and helmets, everyone went outside to see the cars, ask questions about the sport, and learn what it takes to be a successful rally driver.
