Erie group offering help ahead of open enrollment’s start date on Nov. 1

Mark your calendars — Nov. 1 will be the first day to enroll, renew or change your health insurance plan for the coming year.

For area residents without coverage who don't know where to start, Community Health Network is offering a free, helping hand.

The organization is inviting folks to stop by their downtown location — 1202 State St. — and speak to a case worker who can help guide them.

The organization's case manager said people whose income is a little too high for Medicaid may still be eligible for lower subsidies, co-pays and out-of-pocket fees.

Open enrollment in Pennsylvania ends on January 15.
