F1 Racer Lewis Hamilton’s Dating History

Lewis Hamilton has speed in his veins as a Formula One racer , but when it comes to settling down, he's taking his time.

The F1 champion's most high-profile relationship was with Nicole Scherzinger , whom he dated on and off for seven years before calling it quits. Since parting ways in 2015, Scherzinger revealed the exes cut off contact.

"We don't, like, talk," she said during an October 2016 appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show , noting, "I think it's quite natural when people separate and go their own ways."

Hamilton, meanwhile, has chosen to focus on his career since their public breakup — but he does want to find The One and become a father.

"One day [I want kids]," he told the Sunday Times in September 2024. "I wouldn't be able to do what I do to the level that I do it today with that. One of my best friends has just had a kid and I'm seeing how manic it is — and my nieces and nephew are a handful."

Hamilton added, "There will be a time and a place for it, and I can't wait for that part. But right now I have some work to do."

Danielle Lloyd

Hamilton met the TV personality at a nightclub in London when he was a teenager. "We were both out with friends, but there was a bit of a spark, and we swapped numbers," Lloyd told the Daily Mail in July 2007, confirming they dated for six months. "After that I went back to Liverpool and he lived in London, but we stayed in touch."

Lloyd called Hamilton a "lovely person" but pointed to distance and their age gap as the reason for their split. Despite calling it quits, Hamilton was on hand to support Lloyd in 2004 when she was crowned Miss England.

Jodia Ma

The racer met Ma through a mutual friend in London while they were both students at Cambridge Arts and Sciences College. The twosome dated for four years, stepping out at events such as 2006's AutoSport Magazine Awards. News broke in 2007 that Hamilton and Ma had parted ways.

Nicole Scherzinger

Hamilton began seeing the former Pussycat Dolls singer in 2007 after they met at an MTV awards ceremony. The pair dated on and off for seven years, sparking engagement speculation in 2011. Scherzinger denied the rumors via X at the time, writing, "Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true:)."

Hamilton and Scherzinger called it quits for good in 2015. "I'm devastated that it didn't work out. It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together," Scherzinger said in a statement at the time. "I love Lewis, and I know he loves me. We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another. I'm trying to stay strong in my faith right now."

Gigi Hadid

After his split from Scherzinger, Hamilton was linked to Hadid after they were spotted together on several occasions in May 2015. The twosome were seen at the amfAR gala before Hadid and her friends attended his Formula 1 World Championship in France. Hadid and Hamilton never commented on the romance rumors, which reignited in 2018 when they appeared in a Tommy Hilfiger campaign together.

Kendall Jenner

As rumors circulated about Hadid and Hamilton, the professional athlete was also linked to her longtime bestie Jenner. The Kardashians star joined Hadid in May 2015 to watch Hamilton's race in France. She was then spotted on a yacht with both celebrities the following day.

In September 2015, Jenner was spotted in New York City with Hamilton, but he insisted they were platonic. "Me and Kendall have been friends for a while, so we're just friends," Hamilton told E! News at the time. "She's doing incredible, she's very focused, very level-headed, and she's just — for such a young woman, she's very grown up."

Hamilton sparked relationship speculation with Rihanna in August 2015 after spending time on the singer's yacht in Barbados and hanging out at the Grand Kadooment Day carnival that same month. The duo were later seen partying at a nightclub in New York City.

"You know, I've known Ri for a long time," Hamilton told E! News in 2015, shutting down romance rumors. "We've been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again but otherwise we've just been friends."

Barbara Palvin

The Victoria's Secret model was linked to Hamilton after they were photographed at a L'Oréal party during Paris Fashion Week in March 2016. Two months later, they were spotted at the amfAR gala as part of the Cannes Film Festival.

Palvin jetted off to the F1 Grand Prix in Hungary later that summer and was seen on several other occasions with Hamilton. The pair eventually parted ways.

Rita Ora

The "For You" singer first crossed paths with Hamilton in May 2015 while attending the amfAR gala. In the months that followed, the pair remained friends, and Hamilton was on hand to celebrate Ora's birthday that November.

It wasn't until 2016 that rumors began to swirl about a possible romance between the twosome. The couple were seen on several dates throughout the year, and in November, Ora supported Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix. Neither party ever confirmed the relationship.

Winnie Harlow

In September 2016, reports surfaced that Harlow and Hamilton had been secretly dating for months after attending the GQ Men of the Year Awards. While Hamilton told Ellen DeGeneres in October 2016 that he was "not" dating anyone, he was once again seen with Harlow in early 2017 in London.

Harlow and Hamilton continued to raise eyebrows throughout 2017 when they were spotted in Cannes, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Greece throughout the summer months . The twosome never publicly commented on their relationship.

Sofia Richie Grainge

Richie Grainge caused a stir when she was seated next to Hamilton in January 2017 at a Paris Fashion Week show. The duo were later photographed at dinner together in Los Angeles, and in May of that year they were spotted on a lunch date in West Hollywood. It's unclear if they were ever a couple.

Nicki Minaj

Hamilton was rumored to be seeing Minaj after they attended New York Fashion Week together in September 2018. Speculation heated up the following month when the duo rode ATVs in Dubai and posted photos in matching red helmets . "Caribbean tingz what I on. Me & Lewis gettin paper what ink dry on. #Versace," Minaj captioned the shot.

Camila Kendra

Following her split from Bachelorette's Tyler Cameron, Kendra turned heads over her connection with Hamilton. In August 2021, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kendra's recent sexy social media photos were taken in front of a trophy wall that appeared to be Hamilton's.

"Camila and Lewis are absolutely not dating," her rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. "They are just friends and nothing more." An insider later told Us that Kendra did see Hamilton during her family's Europe trip that year but " did not stay at his house ."

The musician was spotted hanging out with Hamilton in May 2023 after she watched the F1 Grand Prix . Shakira was then photographed with the athlete and friends, including Tom Cruise, during a boat day in Miami.
