FEMA offering free disaster recovery and prevention advice

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — FEMA will be providing free advice on disaster recovery and prevention later this week.

According to a joint release from the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and FEMA, FEMA will be in the Stalls True Value Farm & Home Parking Lot in Estherville on Tuesday and Wednesday offering advice to those wanting to learn.

FEMA will be located in the 1731 Central Avenue lot on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Those who visit can speak directly with FEMA specialists to learn how to apply for assistance, learn methods to prevent damage in future disasters, techniques for rebuilding homes, and tips to reduce disaster risk.
