Fire damages south Shreveport home

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) — Fire burned a single-story home off Flournoy-Lucas Road in Shreveport early Sunday morning.

It was shortly before 1 a.m. when firefighters were summoned to the 9300 block of Crooked Creek Drive.

The first crews on the scene reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the roof of the residence.

Fifteen firefighters and five fire units had the blaze under control by 1:15 a.m.

All occupants of the home were able to escape unharmed. They will stay with local family members until their residence can be repaired, authorities said.
