Five-year-old dies, several injured in early morning I-40 crash near El Reno
A crash near El Reno resulted in a 5-year-old's death.
According to The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the crash occurred at approximately 8:05 a.m. on June 7 on I-40 in Canadian County.
Roberto Martinez, 29, drove a Toyota Tacoma eastbound with four passengers; he was not injured.
A 17-year-old passenger was also not injured in the collision.
Kenia Monrroy, 29, was transported to Saint Anthony's Hospital in EL Reno where she was treated and released.
In addition to Monrroy, two juveniles — ages five and five months —were transported to Saint Anthony's Hospital.
The 5-month-old passenger was treated and released, and the 5-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the hospital
The details of the investigation are currently under investigation by OHP.
All names of minors have not been released at this time.
