Four people shot at a residence in revenge for a murder that occurred in 2023, according to Laredo police.

Humberto Gustavo Campos, 20, Raynaldo Ramon Garcia, 20, Hector Murillo, 19, and Edwin Eliud Reyes, 20, were served with arrest warrants between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7 charging them with two counts of deadly conduct, discharge of a firearm, third degree felonies.

At about 10:05 a.m. Aug. 25, officers responded to a deadly conduct report in the 5200 block of Olite Drive. A woman stated that she had heard four gunshots outside her home earlier at approximately 4 a.m. She stated she noticed a bullet hole on her side door and kitchen stove, authorities said.

While searching for casings, officers noticed that the woman's black 2021 Ford Explorer had one bullet hole. Officers also noticed that a gray 2020 Chevy Malibu had three bullet holes on the right side. Surveillance video from the area showed three males arriving at the location on foot.

One of the three males wearing a black shirt and black pants was seen holding what appears to be a handgun. He then begins to fire multiple times toward the home on Olite. Before the shooting, one of the males shouted "Murillo."

The other male wearing a black shirt with black pants was seen holding a rifle. He appears to slide the charging handle and expel an unused casing twice but does not fire. A third male wearing a red shirt over black pants appears to be recording the shooting. After the shooting, the trio ran south on Olite, states the arrest affidavit.

A crime scene technician recovered six 9mm casings, seven .40 caliber casings and two live 5.56 caliber rounds from the street. The tech also noticed five bullet impacts at the home on Olite, one of which struck the exterior wooden fence and went into a bedroom, police said.

The Chevy Malibu had three bullet holes. Authorities also located three bullet impacts on the other home on Olite, one of which went inside the kitchen through the door with the bullet slug ending up inside the oven. Two bullet impacts also struck a black 2021 Ford Explorer, further investigation revealed.

On Aug. 27, investigators spoke to a male at LPD headquarters. Authorities informed him they were investigating the shooting that occurred on Aug. 25 in the 5200 block of Olite. The male stated that he was hosting an "after" party at his residence in the 5700 block of St. Charles Loop on Aug. 24 at about 2 a.m.

The male stated that Campos, Garcia, Murillo and Reyes were at the residence during the party. The male stated that those four males "fueron a pelotear una casa." This translates to, "They went to shoot up a house," according to the affidavit.

The male added that this was due to a murder that occurred in 2023 in Laredo. The four males wanted to get revenge on the suspects and the suspects' relatives of that murder. All four males have been affiliated with the Rodriguez-Rios and Melendez hybrid gangs, according to police.

Throughout the investigation, authorities identified the suspected shooters as Campos, Garcia, Murillo and Reyes. Murillo convinced the others to shoot at the residence, according to the affidavit.
