Fremont Eagles Club open, 3 p.m. to midnight, 649 N. Main St., Fremont. The club may stay open later or close early depending on business. The kitchen will be open from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, tacos and soup. Corn hole and pitch will be played at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Nye Health Services Community Shred Day, 9-11 a.m., Nye Pointe, 2700 N. Laverna St., Fremont. Information-sensitive documents will be shredded onsite and recycled into new paper products. There is a limit of two boxes or 50 pounds of documents per person.

Five-0-Five Brewing Oktoberfest, noon to 10 p.m., Five-0-Five Brewing Company, 349 N. Main St., Fremont. This outdoor event will take place on Fourth Street, just west of Main Street. It will include German style beers, local food trucks, hammerschlagen, cornhole, stein holding competitions and jumbo Jenga. Admission is $5 at the door. There will be limited edition mugs for sale while supplies last. Customers are encouraged to bring their own stein to drink from during the celebration.
