Gideon Robbins

Gideon William Robbins, 83, of Kennedy Drive, West Wyoming, died Wednesday evening in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wyoming, he was a son of the late Leroy and Elizabeth (Baker) Robbins. He was a graduate of West Wyoming High School. Mr. Robbins was an Army veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement in 1983, he was employed at Air Products and Chemical of Allentown as a source inspector for 30 years. He was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and a past member of the Wyoming Lodge 468 F&AM, Cadwell Consistory of Bloomsburg and a Shriner with the Irem Temple Country Club.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Carolyn Gunardi; brothers Roy Jr. and Donald Robbins.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Stevens; sons Michael J., West Wyoming; Thomas W., Murrieta, Calif.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Monk, Hughestown; Lois James, Harding; Betty Lou Murdoch, Wyoming; brothers John, Noxen; Richard, Mountain Top; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the Wyoming United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Gordon E. Weightman officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton.
