Greyhound bus driver leaves three adults and infant stranded in Jackson on way to Memphis
Video released shows a Greyhound bus leaving passengers behind at a gas station in Jackson, Tennessee where three adults and an infant were left stranded during the evening of Oct. 31.
One of the passengers, Sarah Ann Watson, said the bus driver gave passengers three minutes to get off the bus and get some food.
Watson explained she and a few others rushed to grab some snacks, but when she went to get back on the bus the driver didn't let her on and drove off.
"I didn't watch the video as much because every time I did, I had anxiety," Watson emphasized.
Watson said when she approached the bus to get back on, "I tapped and smiled like 'Hey I'm here' you know? She smiled back with this weird smile and just pulled off."Watson added the couple she was left with did not speak English and had an infant with them.
Then Watson said the gas station manager walked over to them.
"The manager came out with a phone. He was already calling them because like he said before she's always doing this. She does this a lot," Watson stated.Watson said she got ahold of the manager at Greyhound who booked her and the other family an Uber to Memphis.
But what makes Watson even more sick to her stomach is she was told the driver was laughing about leaving them in Jackson.
"You don't know the damage that you've done mentally to not only me but to the family that was with me," Watson emphasized.
Watson asked the manager at Greyhound for a refund, but she never heard back.
She then filed an official complaint with Greyhound corporate, but said they just gave her a generic apology and never gave her a refund.
WZTV reached out to Greyhound to get their side of the story and to see if they would issue her a refund or do anything about the driver, but we did not hear back.
Watson posted about this incident on TikTok and said she got a lot of comments with similar experiences. She is currently working with an attorney to make sure the driver and Greyhound are held responsible.
