SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – Property crime detectives are working a case in which 22 vehicles were stolen from Morgan Buick GMC Shreveport, according to the Shreveport Police Department. The theft occurred on November 9th and November 10th. "11 of those vehicles have been recovered at this time, but we are still actively looking for vehicles and the suspects involved. We do know right now that many of the vehicles were taken and the keys to those vehicles were actually used in the theft of these vehicles," said Corporal Chris Bordelon, public information officer for the Shreveport Police Department. Corporal Bordelon says the cars were found in many locations across the city. "We've been communicating with the dealership as well as some of the OnStar and other onboard technology of these vehicles, in order to recover them. And so we do know that there are individuals out there that have knowledge of this crime," said Bordelon. There are still 11 outstanding vehicles, and SPD says they are most likely looking for a group of suspects. "In 2024, every one of these vehicles has more instruments on it than the original Nasa spaceship that went to the moon so we're able to track a lot of these vehicles in many different ways, and ultimately the individuals responsible, we're going to do everything we can to bring them to justice," said Bordelon. SPD says they are following up on leads and if the public has any information, reach out to the Shreveport Police Department.
