OPELOUSAS, La. () — Three suspects wanted in connection with a fight turned shooting at the Holy Ghost Creole Festival parade are still at large, according to the Opelousas Police Department . Law enforcement said the incident was reported around noon on Nov. 3 in the area of the Valero Gas Station on 528 East Landry Street. "According to the investigation, a large fight broke out in this area. A reserve officer with the Opelousas Police Department witnessed the fight and heard a single gunshot erupt from the crowd," St. Landry Crime Stoppers said in a news release. Subscribe Now KLFY Daily Digest While no injuries were reported from the gunshot, St. Landry Crime Stoppers said "the act represents a serious danger to the general public by an individual with no regard for public safety or human life." Within days after the shooting, Opelousas police released the names of nine people who were wanted in connection with the incident. Many of those individuals have since been arrested or surrendered to authorities. Three suspects remain at large:Marvin Neal Porter, 23, of Daly Street in Opelousas, is wanted on one count of illegal carrying of a weapon at a paradeJonterious Cuba, 21, of Hwy 182 in Opelousas, is wanted on one count of disturbing the peace (fighting)Da'William Sir James Redeau, 22, of East Jefferson Street in Opelousas, is wanted on one count of illegal carrying of a weapon at a parade Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the remaining suspects is urged to contact Opelousas police at 337-948-2500.
