Guernsey FC defender Thomas Dodds his side's 4-1 loss Uxbridge was 'disappointing'.

The Green Lions wen into the game on a high having got a first home win since March last week, but were outplayed in the first half.

Ada Okorogheye have Uxbridge a ninth-minute lead before goals from Leo Donnellan and Casey Bocarro saw the hosts 3-0 up 10 minutes before half time.

Charlton Gauvain pulled a goal back midway through the second half before James Taylor capped off the win for the hosts 14 minutes from the end.

The loss leaves Guernsey third-from-bottom in Isthmian League South Central, five points from safety.

"It was disappointing," Dodds told BBC Radio Guernsey.

"After last week's home win, we really wanted to kick on and build on it, but 3-0 down at half time and the game's gone already.

"We're all very disappointed with how we performed today - second half had some positives, but it was a bit too late by then unfortunately."

He added: "No one can look at themselves and say that they won their individual battle.

"They outran us, they were more physical and it was a very poor first half.

"The plus was the response, but we know that you can't just perform for one half, you've got to put it together for the whole game."
