Harvest Day Celebration In Yardley: What You Need To Know The annual event Saturday draws crowds from throughout Bucks County. It was canceled by inclement weather last year.

YARDLEY, PA —They are pretending like last year's Harvest Festival didn't happen. Because it didn't.

For the first time in its history, Harvest Day got washed out by weather. Not even the rain date could save the annual event from getting canceled by inclement weather.

But with the forecast looking promising Saturday, the 55th annual Harvest Day festival will resume its reputation as the borough's biggest event.

Harvest Day 2024 takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a day of family-fun featuring unique crafts, local and regional businesses, food vendors, live music, and a variety of kids' activities and entertainment.

Shop for unique gifts and crafts from talented artisans and crafters while enjoying the beautiful fall weather, organizers said.

The festival runs rain or shine at Fitzgerald Field on Bell and College Avenues as well as along Canal Street.

The Yardley Borough Police Department will close streets to traffic and parking from early morning to 6 p.m. on the day of the event.

Attendees should expect at least 30 food vendors, 145 crafter spaces, more than a dozen non-profit community groups, two free face painters, two free balloon twisters, five bands, a dance troupe, free pony rides, several hundred free pumpkins to decorate, a bookmobile, a blacksmith, and a bounce house.

The event's earnings have funded several local groups including the Friends of Lake Afton, Experience Yardley, the Yardley-Makefield Emergency Unit, the Yardley Historical Association, the Yardley Farmers Market, the Pennsbury Scholarship Foundation, the Yardley Business Association, The Gather Place, and the Friends of the Mary Yardley Footbridge.
