Here’s what’s on the ballot for Williamson County
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Voters in the Round Rock Independent School District will decide on a near $1 billion dollar bond proposal on Tuesday. The bond package predominantly focuses on maintenance projects and classroom improvements.
If approved, Proposition A would direct around $800 million toward the construction, expansion, and rehabilitation of school buildings. Proposition B would upgrade and improve technology systems and equipment, including new Chromebooks for every student. Prop B is slated for around $125 million.
Proposition C includes almost $9 million to construct and better equip performing arts facilities and Proposition D is almost $66 million for the construction, renovation, and expansion of athletic stadium facilities.

When the school board finalized the proposal, trustees acknowledged that these numbers would potentially intimidate taxpayers but they hoped voters would see the need and the proposal would pass.
"It'll be a hard sell for our community to digest that we have a billion dollars worth of stuff," Amber Landrum, the school board president, said during the Aug. 8 meeting.
Williamson County Sheriff
Current Williamson County Sheriff Mike Gleason will face Constable Matthew Lindemann in the sheriff's race. Gleason is running for his second term and is the first Democrat to be sheriff in Williamson County.
Lindemann started his career in the 1980s as a corrections officer before joining the Texas Department of Public Safety as a state trooper in 1990. Nearly 30 years later, Lindemann retired as a Lieutenant in the Texas Ranger Division and then worked as an investigator with the Williamson County District Attorney's Office, according to his campaign announcement.
The county attorney seat is also up for grabs as well as a Williamson County commissioner seat.
