HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Enterprise volleyball wins Silver Bracket at tournament

The Enterprise varsity volleyball team went 4-2 and won the Silver Bracket of the Margaret Blalock Tournament in Homewood on Friday and Saturday.

In pool play, the Wildcats beat Class 6A No. 9 ranked Jasper 25-16, 25-18 and lost to 7A No. 7 ranked Vestavia Hills and to Class 6A top-ranked Montgomery Academy, but were competitive in both, losing 25-11, 23-25, 15-13 to Vestavia Hills and 25-19, 25-19 to Montgomery Academy.

Enterprise won all three of its matches in the Silver Bracket, beating Pell County 25-13, 25-17, Cullman 25-11, 25-11 and Jasper 23-25, 25-15, 15-4.

For the tournament, Jadyn Britton had 44 kills, Morgan Williams had 33 kills and 12 blocks and Abigail Wiggins had 31 kills and 31 digs, while Lauren Kinney delivered 67 assists and five aces and Sydney Neuwein delivered 58 assists. Karsyn Hamm added 28 digs and five aces and Monika Howard chipped in 13 blocks.
