Holliday Education Foundation holds donor appreciation dinner

HOLLIDAY, Texas (KAUZ) - The Holliday Education Foundation held its donor appreciation dinner Monday, Sep. 30.

This dinner recognizes the community donations toward schools within Holliday ISD. These donations help fill the gaps in funding for special events, teachers, students, or school necessities. The key-note speaker was Texas District 60 Representative Glenn Rogers.

"Well, these events are important because they bring the education community together. Public schools are under attack like never before. We've never seen public schools experiencing this as much opposition as they have. So it's really important to come together with a positive message for people that really care about their public schools in Texas," Rogers said.

Donors have helped the Holliday Education Foundation raise over $320,000 for the tools it needs to succeed.
