BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – The Junior League of Panama City's largest annual fundraiser, Holly Fair is coming to a close after a weekend full of Christmas spirit. For 35 years the Holly Fair earnings are donated to Bay County residents to help them during the holiday season.

The event features everything from boutiques, Christmas ornaments and decor, soup shops, and more. The Holly Fair's main attraction throughout the weekend is its massive shopping event.

"Oh, my goodness. We have over 65 vendors here in the building and you can buy anything from macaroons to snack on while you're shopping to books for your children, to clothes for yourself and maybe your sister or your mother as well as bags made from sales. I mean, we have a little bit of something for everybody. Soaps, cookware, we have it all," Junior League President Rebecca Windham said.

It's not only a great time for the family, but the event also gives back to Bay County. While getting a head start on holiday shopping, attendees are also giving back, with 100% of the net proceeds supporting the program's mission of advancing women's leadership for a meaningful community impact.

"We have had phenomenal support from the community, some of our largest attendance so far. And we are so proud and so happy to have that support," Holly Fair Chair Jennifer said.

To close out the weekend full of festivities families were able to enjoy meet and greets with Santa, stories read by Mrs. Claus, and live music. Organizers say it is never too early for Christmas.

"The Christmas season is just all about helping others and giving back and that's what this is. You just feel joy and happiness. I feel like when you walk in, it's never too early for Christmas," Guynn said.

Organizers say they hope to continue growing the event for years to come.
