Homes Under The Hammer host Dion Dublin gave a rare glimpse into his personal life on Instagram on Wednesday as he shared a sweet selfie with his family.

The former professional footballer and presenter, 55, was all smiles as he beamed for a picture with wife and their daughter Ruby during a trip to Dublin.

Dion, who is usually private about his home life, enjoyed a winter day out with Cheryl and Ruby at the beach.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, wrapped up in their winter coats while their little girl rocked a blue Paw Patrol bike helmet.

Despite Dion previously gracing the pitch for Manchester United and hosting the BBC show Home Under The Hammed, he chooses to keep his family out of the spotlight with only occasionally sharing a glimpse of holidays and special occasions.

This summer, Dion and Cheryl jetted off on a lavish beach holiday with their little girl as they posed for photos while wearing lift jackets.

He gushed that the getaway was the 'best holidays we've had' as he shared the heart-warming snap.

It comes after Dion revealed the most shocking items found in properties during his time on Homes Under The Hammer .

The presenter told how even cannabis plants have been discovered while getting houses ready for auction.

He told how sometimes when walking around empty properties he has noticed the pungent smells associated with the drug.

He told The Sun : 'We go in and we go, 'Ahh... better not go in there'.

'Obviously, you can't get it on the TV, but you get the aroma and you think, 'Ahh, not today'.

'They've either had pets or maybe been growing something . . . anyway, I'll say no more than that.'

Dion previously told how he is now more frequently recognised to being on Homes Under The Hammer rather than for being a footballer back in the day.

He told the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast: 'I could be in the supermarket and I'll be by a lot of older couples saying, 'That's Dion Dublin from Homes Under The Hammer'. I'm thinking, 'I used to play football'.

'It's the older generation. And listen, I'm more than happy with it. I love the show, I love doing the job. I love that I've found something else to do.'
