How to watch Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets: NFL Week 12 Game Time and Channel

The New York Jets entered this season with expectations of contending in the AFC East. The Miami Dolphins are realizing those expectations and stand atop the division. They meet at 3 p.m. Eastern on Friday from MetLife Stadium on Amazon Prime .

Friday’s game is part of Week 12 of the NFL season , following a tripleheader on Thursday and coming before the Sunday slate of games to stream and watch. This is the first Black Friday NFL game.

Dolphins vs. Jets matchup preview

Miami (7-3) has not won the AFC East since 2008, as the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots — mostly the Patriots until Buffalo the last three years — have dominated it.

New York (4-6) acquired Aaron Rodgers this offseason with expectations to crash that party, until his Week 1 season-ending injury. The Jets are now non-committal on former first-round pick Zach Wilson, who was thrust into the starting role after Rodgers’ injury. He was pulled Sunday for Tim Boyle in a 32-6 loss to the Bills.

While Miami got 325 yards passing and two TDs from Tua Tagovailoa in its 20-13 win against the Las Vegas Raiders last week, the Dolphins needed Jalen Ramsey’s interception to seal it and deny Vegas a fourth-quarter comeback.

Ramsey has three takeaways in three games after missing the first seven games with a knee injury. That could spell doom for the Jets, whose quarterbacks finished 0-of-11 on third down against Buffalo.

Injuries of note

On top of the quarterback woes, Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton injured an ankle in the loss last week. Offensive tackle Duane Brown is on injured reserve, along with Rodgers.

Miami’s Tyreek Hill was bothered by a hand/wrist injury, but he missed only one series last week.

Players to watch

Tua Tagovailoa’s 106.0 passer rating ranks second in the league behind Brock Purdy entering the week.

Jalen Ramsey, though, could be the difference maker on defense with his return.

“I do feel great, I’ve put in a lot of hard work,” he told the Associated Press on Sunday after the win vs. Las Vegas. “At the same time, the only way to get ready for football and be really in football shape and feel like the guy that I am is to play more football, and this is only my third game. Technically, I’m just now in my training camp, preseason, really.”
