I-16 Westbound between Metter, Statesboro closed due to flooding

STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — I-16 Westbound was closed Thursday afternoon due to flooding across the road.
Seek alternate routes if you need to go between mile marker 116 to 103 which is between Metter and Statesboro. 511 with the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) said that they do have a maintenance crew on the scene, and they are working to reopen the road.
They said that it is possible for the flooding to be cleared up around 7 p.m.
WSAV will update this story when the closed section is reopened.
