October 28, 2024

Officers responded to the 700 block of Harbor Drive regarding a Medical Call.

Police at the 400 block of Fernwood Road issued a parking citation to a vehicle parked in a designated EV stall.

KBPD units at the 400 block of Glenridge Road issued a parking citation for obstructing traffic.

Officers at the 500 block of South Mashta Drive conducted stop sign enforcement. Officers issued 5 citations.

Police at Harbor Drive & Island Drive conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. Officers contacted the operator and issued a stop sign violation.

KBPD officers at the 10 block of Village Green Way conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. Officers contacted the operator and issued a stop sign violation.

Units at the 400 block of Grapetree Drive issued a parking citation for an expired tag.

Police responded to the 100 block of Harbor Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle. Officers documented the incident and issued a case number.

The complainant at the 200 block of Cypress Drive contacted police regarding an unknown person kicking their door. Officers documented the incident and advised KBPD detectives.

October 29, 2024

KBPD officers at Crandon Boulevard & Harbor Drive conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. Officers contacted the operator and issued a citation.

Units at the 6800 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Police at the 4000 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted radar enforcement. Officers issued 3 citations.

KBPD units at the 150 block of Ocean Lane Drive issued two parking citations for parking in a prohibited parking area.

KBPD Detectives at the 90 block of Harbor Drive conducted a follow-up to a report filed earlier. During this follow-up, an additional victim came forward. The victim provided a sworn statement, and detectives will conduct a follow-up investigation.

Police at the 500 block of South Mashta Drive conducted stop sign enforcement. Officers issued two citations.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Harbor Drive regarding a minor traffic crash. Officers spoke with the involved parties and completed a traffic crash investigation.

The victim responded to the KBPD lobby regarding the theft of their electric scooter around the 900 block of Crandon Boulevard. The victim told police they parked their scooter on October 23rd in a secure location. Upon returning the following day, the scooter was missing. KBPD detectives will conduct the follow-up investigation.

October 30, 2024

KBPD officers at the 400 block of West Mashta Drive conducted a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Police at the 400 block of South Mashta Drive conducted stop sign enforcement. Officers issued 4 citations.

While on patrol, officers at the 80 block of Westwood Drive conducted a traffic stop for an expired tag. Officers contacted the operator and issued a citation.

Units at the 700 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for failure to stop for a school bus. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

The Parks and Rec Director contacted police and advised a soccer coach showed up to practice at 10 Village Green Way intoxicated. The on-duty park supervisor had the coach leave for the day. The Village Athletic Advisory Board was notified, and the coach was immediately suspended. The coach resigned.

The complainant at the 300 block of Crandon Boulevard contacted police regarding a former employee using an unknown account to reimburse two non-existent iPhone 15 Prom-Max Phones, totaling over $1,800.00. The employee was terminated soon after.

Officers at Seaview Drive issued a parking citation for prohibited parking all times with posted signs.

Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding an accident involving four vehicles. Officers contacted the involved parties and completed a traffic crash investigation.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding a Baker Act.

October 31, 2024

KBPD units at Crandon Boulevard & Ocean Drive conducted a traffic stop. Officers spoke with the driver and issued a citation.

Officers at the 500 block of South Mashta Drive conducted stop sign enforcement. Officers issued 1 citation.

Police at the 400 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for a red-light violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

The complainant at the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard contacted police to report their E-bike was stolen. They told police they had not used the E-bike for months. A case card was issued.

The complainant at the 100 block of Crandon Boulevard contacted police regarding an unknown person placing a political bumper sticker on their vehicle. The incident was documented in a report.

Officers at the 500 block of Ocean Drive regarding a Medical Call.

The complainant at the 100 block of Ocean Lane Drive contacted police to report the theft of a bicycle. Officers completed a report and issued a case card.

Police at the 600 block of Hampton Lane were contacted regarding a water main break. The caller advised they would like a report regarding water damage. Miami Dade Water & Sewer was contacted.

KBPD officers at the 400 block of Grand Bay Drive were contacted by a sales agent at the Ritz. They advised an unknown person had taken their handbag. The bag was left unattended on the ground. A report was requested for documentation purposes.

KBPD units were dispatched to the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding a deceased female. On arrival, they met with members of KBFD, who advised the death appeared natural. Miami Dade Police Homicide was contacted, as was the family.

The complainant at the 100 block of West McIntyre Street contacted police to advise their golf cart had gone missing. They last saw their cart at approximately 2000 hours.

Units at the 600 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Harbor Drive regarding a loud party complaint. On arrival, they spoke with the homeowner and issued a written warning.

November 1, 2024

Units were dispatched to the 400 block of West Matheson Drive regarding a loud party complaint. On arrival, they spoke with the homeowner and issued a written warning.

The complainant at the 400 block of Woodcrest Road contacted police about a vehicle parked in a no parking zone. The owner came and moved the vehicle.

Police at the 6000 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for careless driving. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Officers at West Enid Drive & Curtiswood Drive issued a parking citation for parking within an intersection.

The complainant at the 400 block of Crandon Boulevard contacted police about the theft of a mountain bike. They told police the bike was stolen in the park. KBPD detectives were notified, and a case card was issued.

Police at the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard were contacted regarding a found keychain with four keys. The items were impounded.

KBPD officers responded to the 100 block of Ocean Lane Drive regarding a Medical Call.

Units were dispatched to the 700 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding an accident. Officers contacted the involved parties and completed a traffic crash investigation.

Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding an Assault and Battery call. Officers learned a white SUV occupied with 4 to 5 unknown suspects, fired an air soft gun, striking the victims. The victims, all minors, refused rescue. The parents responded to the police station and detectives were notified.

Officers responded to the West Mashta Drive & Woodcrest Road regarding reports of three juveniles being struck in a golf cart by projectiles from an Orbeez gun. All parents were notified and no one required rescue. Officers obtained written statements. Twp parents declined prosecution, and one signed for prosecution.

KBPD units were dispatched to the 200 block of Cypress Drive regarding a loud party. On arrival, there was no party. Adults were having a conversation outside. The homeowner apologized and advised police would not need to respond back.

November 2, 2024

Police responded to the 20 block of Harbor Point regarding a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied. A records check came back negative on the vehicle.

KBPD officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Ocean Drive regarding music coming from the Beach and Beach Park area. Officers located a group of males listening to music on the beach. Officers told them to turn the music off and the males left the beach.

Security at the 100 block of Ocean Lane Drive contacted police about a male refusing to show ID at the gate. The male and his vehicle were gone prior to police arrival.

Units at Crandon Boulevard & Harbor Drive conducted a traffic stop for an expired tag. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Officers at the 400 block of Ridgewood Road stopped a golf cart for running a stop sign. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Police at the 400 block of Island Drive conducted a traffic stop of a golf cart. The driver was contacted and issued a citation.

KBPD units at the 700 block of Fernwood Road conducted a traffic stop of a golf cart for no registration. Officers contacted the operator and issued a civil citation.

Police at the 600 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for an expired tag. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Harbor Drive regarding a loud party. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them of the Village Noise Ordinance.

KBPD units were dispatched to the 400 block of South Mashta Drive regarding a verbal dispute between two females. Officers contacted the involved parties and learned the dispute was strictly verbal. Each person was spoken to and departed to their home.

Police at West Heather Drive located a small dog. Officers were able to locate the owner and reunite them with their dog.

November 3, 2024

Units at the 5000 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. The driver was contacted and issued a citation.

Officers at the 7000 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop. Officers issued a citation for failure to produce a vehicle registration.

While on patrol, officers at the 300 block of Seaview Drive issued 3 parking citations to vehicles parked in a no parking sign.

KBPD units responded to the 700 block of Glenridge Road regarding a stolen vehicle. The Audi was captured on camera and detectives were notified.

Police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Crandon Boulevard regarding a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted a male and female, who were in a dispute over the male drinking. The female left the residence, and no signs of a struggle were observed.

Units at the 6700 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for an expired tag. Officers contacted the driver and issued a citation.

The complainant at the 100 block of Harbor Drive contacted police and advised they had lost their wallet. A report was filed. A short time later the complainant contacted police and advised they located their wallet.

Police at the 70 block of Crandon Boulevard conducted a traffic stop for a speeding violation. The driver was contacted and issued a citation.
