Old Pronounced Dead After Being Found in Car at Daycare Facility
St. Petersburg, FL — Police responded to a tragic incident at around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, at the Kindercare Bayfront Child Development Center, located at 800 6th Ave. S.
A one-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a vehicle parked at the daycare facility. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, the child's father arrived at the daycare to pick him up, but staff informed him that the child had not attended that day. Shortly afterward, the father located the child in the back of his vehicle, where he had reportedly been left throughout the day.
The St. Petersburg Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's death and will determine if any charges will be filed.
