When does the iPhone 16 launch?

Apple's iPhone 16 and 16 Pro lineup will are on sale in stores starting today, Sept. 20. If you preordered your iPhone 16 on the first day possible, it could arrive on your doorstep today. You can also now pop into any retailer that sells the iPhone - like an Apple Store, BestBuy or your carrier - and buy from their available stock. Use the Apple Store app to select the model, storage and color you like, and you can see if it's available at your local Apple Store.

It's not unheard of for popular configurations of colors, models and storage capacities to sell out of available stock and experience a delay. So we suggest you have a couple backup options in mind if you're determined to get a new iPhone right away. Or be prepared to wait.

How do I order the iPhone 16?

Preorders for the iPhone 16 kicked off in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 13, however now that the iPhone 16 series has officially launched, you should be able to order the phone you want from online retailers and carriers as well as in stores.
