MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Iconic images and landmarks are on view around New York City.

An auction house based in New York City is keeping some of the memories alive after renovation projects.

For more than 70 years, the glow of a neon sign at the Hotel Chelsea has been well-known along West 23rd Street in Chelsea. The hotel sign has recently been restored, with the old words getting a new shine.

The letters stand on display as part of an auction that includes some items from the iconic hotel and other pieces from the downtown scene.
